Morphological characteristics
The Kerry Blue Terrier is well developed and muscular. The feet are rich in bones and muscles, and the legs are correspondingly longer. The ears are small, V-shaped, and fold down toward the front line close to the cheeks. Small to medium eyes, dark body: short and plump, elastic chest, level back. Very thick and soft silky hair, blue-gray in color, and sometimes some black hair can be seen. The Kerry Blue Terrier's coat is black when born, and often turns into a unique blue-gray color within 18 months.
Hair characteristics
Double-layered hair, the outer layer of hair is thick and wire-like, and the inner layer of hair is dense and of good quality. The fur colors include black, black and white, gray, and black and silver.
The typical Kerry Blue Terrier stands well, has strong stability, and shows a well-trained appearance. Muscularly developed, with typical terrier characteristics, a small and leaping Kerry Blue Terrier does not have typical characteristics.
Gait
Walking freely, with elbows straight to the body, and agile movements. When walking, keep your front and rear legs straight forward. The knee joint does not turn inward or outward.
