A few tips for raising crystal shrimp
Crystal shrimp

The color of crystal shrimp is similar to that of Japanese koi. , because of its red and white body color, it has become an aquatic creature with extremely high value for observation. It is favored by more and more people and has become more and more popular in recent years. However, crystal shrimps are not particularly cheap due to artificial growth, so you must pay more attention during the breeding process to raise good crystal shrimps. Below, I will follow the editor of Boqi to take a look at some tips for raising crystal shrimps.

 1. Aquascape. Crystal shrimp will kill each other, and the fishy smell produced by the shrimp after shelling is also easily attacked by others. Therefore, it is necessary to tie aquatic plants and heavy wood with silk thread and place them in the shrimp tank. Densely planting aquatic plants and placing an appropriate amount of heavy wood can also help juvenile shrimps avoid attacks.

 2. Polyculture of fish and shrimp. In nature, shrimps are bait for fish. It is natural for shrimps to hate fish. If there are no fish in the shrimp tank, the young shrimps do not have to worry about being eaten, and the shrimps after shelling will not be attacked. Therefore, shrimps It is safest to raise shrimps alone in the tank. But this is because if there are no fish, it will trigger the growth of various other organisms, such as planarians, polyps, algae and other problems. Moreover, over time, crystal shrimps will attract huge numbers and cause bad effects. It is quite troublesome and painful to clean them out one by one, so they have to be suppressed by using fish. Therefore, you can raise crystal shrimps alone at first, and after a long time, you can raise fish and shrimps together.

3. Feeding with bait. In terms of bait, you can feed crystal shrimps special feed, kelp or cooked spinach. Spinach is one of the favorite foods of crystal shrimps. Freezing red worms will cause the risk of bacteria, so it is generally not recommended. . In terms of frequency, feed it about 1-2 times in three days. If it doesn't eat, it means the water quality has changed, and the water should be changed as soon as possible.

 4. Water quality. In the conditions of weak acid and soft water, crystal shrimps often grow quickly and have a thin color after shelling; in the conditions of weak acid and hard water, crystal shrimps are not easy to shell, grow slowly and have a thick color. If you find that the body color of crystal shrimp becomes lighter, it means that the water quality has begun to reverse. At this time, the bottom sand should be pumped out to remove organic matter and feces from the bottom bed, and then 1/3 of the clean water should be replaced. If the water temperature and pH value change drastically, crystal shrimps will easily suffer from shock and death. So changing the water is impossible.
