Husky (definite introduction)
Determining whether a Husky is pure or not is a complicated question. Some people say that looking at the three fires on the forehead of a husky, it turns out that these are all hyped up by dog traders. The hair of a husky will change. Three fires are very rare in adult huskies. Therefore, to judge whether Huskies are pure or not, we must first understand the Husky AKC standards.
1. Size, ratio, extension
Height: male, Height at withers 21 to 23 inches; females 20 to 22 inches.
Weight: Male, 45 to 60 pounds; female, 35 to 50 pounds. Height requires high cooperation. The above data represents the extreme values of height and weight, and nothing beyond this limit can be considered exceptional. A frame that is too large or too heavy will affect competition. Viewed from the side, the length from the point of the withers to the lowest point of the croup is slightly longer than the height from the ground to the top of the withers.
Second, head
Facial complexion, friendly and curious , even naughty. The eyes are almond-shaped, moderately separated and slightly slanted. Eyes may be brown or blue; ears of medium size, triangular, set close together and set high on the head. The muzzle is of moderate width, tapering gradually and ending in neither sharp nor square.
3. Neck, topline, body
Neck: length Moderate and arched, the dog stands erect and raised. When trotting, the neck is stretched and the head is slightly forward. The ribs are well spread outward from the spine, but are flattened laterally to allow for free movement. Back: The back is straight and healthy, with a straight topline from withers to croup. The length is normal and cannot become rounded or relaxed due to being too long. The waist is tight, slanted, narrower than the ribcage, and slightly folded. The buttocks slide down from the spine at a certain angle, but the angle should not be too steep to avoid affecting the kicking force of the hind legs.
4. Forebody
Shoulders: The shoulder blades are drawn back. From shoulder point to elbow, the upper arm has a slight backward angle, not straight to the ground. The muscles and ligaments between the shoulders and chest are developed. The claws are of average size and close, with rich hair between the toes and pads. The pads of flesh are close and rich. When the dog is standing naturally, the feet should not be turned outward or inward.
Five. Rear Body
Looking from the back when standing, two lines Hind legs are moderately separated and parallel. The upper thigh muscles are well developed and strong, the knee joint is fully flexible, the ankle joint has a clear appearance, and the position from the ground is relatively low. If there are upper claws, they may be removed.
